While many travelers keep right on going, our host, Charlie David, spends some time discovering why San Jose is a must see destination on its own.  After earning his cup of java at a family owned coffee plantation, Charlie peers into the depths of an active volcano, discovers how eliminating the national army can lead to an incredible array of arts and culture, indulges in the local cuisine and becomes an impromtu guest of honour at the biggest parade in Latin America, the Festival de La Luz.
